Ranked: Most Valuable Food Brands in the World
Nestlé leads as the most valuable food brand as per brand value, followed by Lays and Yili.
France’s Danone and Italy’s Barilla also make it to top 10.

At the country level, USA leads with 4 brands in the top 10, while Swiss and China have 2 brands each. Similarly France and Italy have one each.
The rankings are based on brand value, which is calculated using a royalty relief approach. This technique calculated the net economic benefit a brand owner would receive by licensing the brand in an open market.
How has brand value changed compared to last year?
Nestle and Lays both saw an uptick in brand value of 23% and 19%, respectively, but the highest increase was recorded by Yili at 29%.
Tyson is only brand that witnessed a significant drop of 24% compared to last year.
