Marriott and Hilton lead as the most valuable hotel chains in the world by a big margin, followed by Las Vegas Sands.

At the country level, USA leads with 6 brands, while Japan, UK, Hong Kong, China, France and India have one each.


In fact, the number 3 spot, Las Vegas Sands is valued less than half of Hilton and less than one-third of Marriott.


Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) which owns brands like Taj is valued at $10.7 billion.


A few major changes from May 2026:


Las Vegas Sands lost $5 bn in value, but still ranked on third.
Oriental Land gained $4 bn in the same time, inching towards the third position.
Hyatt gained $2 bn in the same time period
Wynn Resorts drop out of the world’s top 12, while MGM Resorts enters the list at no. 11
